One of the best electives our school has is Public Speaking. Public Speaking is a class where you learn how to speak at the public in the best way possible. One of the techniques you learn in Public Speaking is to structure your speech. First, you must to introduce yourself then start your body (the middle part of your presentation or speech) with an interesting story or fact like:” did you know girls are smarter than boys?"... (Of course that is not true). Then you develop your speech, until you get to the main idea. Finally you restate your point, and finish with a slogan or a leave them with a thought. Well that is only a little bit, that is what you learn in the first day, not to mention the poise, voice and eye contact etc.

This is Mr. Gallo giving us Instructions on how we should structure our speech.

Here you see how important body expressions are, the poise, in other words how you stand in the front where your feet are the movements of your face, and your body. One important thing in speaking is to move, you can make your speech more attractive and powerful by adding some hand movements like when you mention a person, you act like them. Imitate their voice, their movements the way they look etc. If your speech doesn't have any movement is going to be boring and monotonous.

Here Mr. Gallo with a good poise and hand movement

The best advantage of this Public Speaking class is its teacher. Mr. Gallo is a very good teacher that worries about you and help you when you ask for help. He also is very social and makes you feel like he is your age, and you can count on him like friend. Because of that don't play too much with him because later on when you go beyond the limits of respect he is going to stop you and make you respect him. So be easy on him.
